Action Synthese is a CGI Animation studio, located in Marseille (Provence), specialized in computer-generated feature film and television series production.
Action Synthese made their mark with “The Magic Roundabout”, by creating the first successful French 3D animated feature film. (27 million $ box office success, for a 17 million $ production budget).

The distribution of the film in the USA by Weinstein & Co in 2006 proved the studio’s capacities to produce projects of international standards. The Magic Roundabout is without a doubt one of the few French animation features to have distributed been in 2300 copies over the North American territory. 

Action Synthese have brought together the various areas of competence needed in the fabrication of a full length 3D feature film (finance, production management, artistic and technical competences in 2D/3D). 

Apart from the script and sound post production, Action Synthese was responsible for the complete artistic and visual creation of The Magic Roundabout. The Studio was also responsible for the financial management of the film budget, reporting directly to the film bond : Film Finances.

Action Synthese’s progress is greatly due to their investment in R&D, along with partners such as Hewlett-Packard or Avid.

After this first success, Action Synthese have been developing, since 2005, many projects:

"Dougal, The Magic Roundabout 2", TV Series : we delivered 52*11 minutes first season which met a great success Nick Jr (UK) M6 (France), ZDF and Disney Channel and are now producing season 2 with the same animation, rendering and story quality. We beleive children would still love following Zebedee, Dougal, Florence and friends’ adventures! 
"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", feature film : Direction by John Boorman and script by Jim McClain & Ron Mita (Robots, S.W.A.T, Sniper 2). The magical and mysterious world of Oz and the story of Dorothy from Kansas and friends in a 3D animated film is in production. 
"Dougal, The Magic Roundabout 2", feature film : Direction by Graham Ralph. The sequel of the first 3D animated film will deal us to follow new adventures of our dear friends and, surprise, is a blink to the original series of the 60’s. 

Action Synthese has developed their own project and connections with prestigious partners (Weinstein & Co, Pathé, Merlin Films, Xilam, Gaumont, Ellipsanime, France 2 Cinema, M6, Nickelodeon, Silver Fox, Hewlett-Packard, Avid) but they are always open to new ideas and collaborations, eyes wide open toward the future!
